Our November challenge was to revisit an earlier work with an eye to editing a visually strong, cropped portion of it. Many times jurors comment that the detail shots of work presented are stronger than the overall piece. We have looked at a previous work to find a section to reproduce. It did not have to be reproduced to the same scale, but it should be represented accurately. The point of this challenge was to develop an editing eye.
Each artist below has presented three photographs: the original piece, the original piece showing which section the artist will reproduce, and the final reproduction.
