Another Opening, Another Show

Sunday, April 28 was the opening of FANE's fourth annual show at the Mahopac Library. This year members were asked to produce a piece that had more than one component and was inspired by a line of poetry or song, thus the title, Poetic Fragments. These components had to fit within a fourteen inch square space and each piece was mounted on an 18 inch square artist canvas. The white canvases really pop against the brown cork walls of the gallery hall.

View from the balcony
It was a splendid day, weather-wise and we had a good turnout of family and friends.  Wine and goodies were served and several people drifted onto the balcony which overlooks the Mahopac River.  I doubt that many libraries have a view like this.

I took all of these pictures with my new iPhone and I took them very quickly, so some are not as clear as I would have liked.  Not the camera's fault, but mine.
